About Kelsey’s Journey

Throughout the season she created 20 dishes (including monkfish, fresh pasta, a three course Japanese kaiseki and beyond) in challenges presented by some of the biggest names in the culinary world including Masaharu Morimoto, Nancy Silverton, Roy Choi, Dominique Crenn and Curtis Stone.

Even after suffering a dramatic on-camera injury, she pushed through to end up on top by presenting the judges with a stunning four course meal, winning the title of MasterChef: Legends - and she did it all while pregnant!

Kelsey was born and raised near Chicago and currently resides in Indianapolis with her husband and three young children.

She specializes in Modern American Cuisine inspired by her background growing up in an Italian and Polish family where food was always a focus and large Sunday dinners were a tradition never to be missed.

Through the years she has continued to teach herself new techniques and experiment with flavors for her family. She focuses on respecting ingredients for what they are, letting each component shine on the plate, and bringing together flavors from the many cultures that make up the American landscape.
